Nintendo's Latest Direct Sets New Records, Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake Steals the Show

Nintendo's latest Direct presentation has shattered records as the most-watched Summer Game Fest showcase of 2026!

With a peak of 3.8 million concurrent viewers, it's a huge win for the gaming giant, outpacing the main Summer Game Fest showcase's 3.7 million viewers.

But that's not all - the reveal trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake is also making waves, boasting an impressive 115 million views across various platforms within a staggering three days of its announcement.

God of War: Laufey's announcement trailer takes the second spot with 90.5 million views, while Capcom's upcoming remake of Resident Evil Veronica rounds out the top three with 70.9 million views.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake is set to launch on Switch 2 later this year, with God of War Laufey and Resident Evil Veronica following suit next year.
