The Baltimore Orioles recently gained the upper hand in a game, thanks to a pivotal play involving...

The Texas Longhorns were dealt an early loss in their Men's College World Series opener against No. 3 Georgia. Dylan Volantis delivered a strong performance on the mound, but a sluggish team effort ultimately led to a 7-1 defeat.
The Longhorns will now shift their focus to an elimination game against No. 7 Alabama, set to take place at 1 p.m. on Monday. Georgia, on the other hand, looks to solidify their spot in the winners' bracket against Oklahoma at 6 p.m. on the same day.
Volantis turned in an impressive outing, limiting the Bulldogs' high-powered offense to just two earned runs over 6 1/3 innings. However, a handful of defensive miscues ultimately proved to be the decisive factor in the contest.
The Longhorns' offense struggled to gain momentum, with Adrian Rodriguez and Ethan Mendoza both managing only two hits apiece. Meanwhile, Georgia's Rylan Lujo stole the show with a two-run homer and an RBI double in the seventh inning.
The Bulldogs' Joey Volchko dominated on the hill, tossing a complete game and punching out 15 batters in the process. Texas, on the other hand, will look to rebound from this setback as they face off against Alabama on Monday.
Despite the loss, the Longhorns remain committed to their goal of advancing deep into the tournament.
