Aceh Selatan – The transportation access for the remote communities in Trumon Subdistrict, Aceh Selatan Regency, is slowly becoming accessible. The TNI AD Satgas continues to accelerate the construction of the Aramco Bridge at the Suak Rege and Suak Lele intersection, Buluh Seuma Village, Trumon Subdistrict, on Friday (1/5/2026).

The construction of the bridge is one of the strategic efforts to improve connectivity between areas, particularly for the community that has long faced transportation access limitations. The presence of the bridge is expected to bring significant benefits for social, economic, and daily mobility activities.

Currently, the construction progress has reached a crucial stage. Work focuses on pouring the right side foundation and assembling the steel framework of the bridge that will serve as the main support for the structure. WS Pasiops Kodim 0107/Aceh Selatan, Captain Inf Faisal Kurniawan, stated that the construction of the Aramco Bridge at the Suak Rege and Suak Lele intersection continues to be driven forward to enable it to be utilized by the community as soon as possible.

"Currently, the work has entered the stage of pouring the right side foundation and assembling the steel framework of the bridge. Personnel from the Satgas along with the community continue to work maximally to ensure that the construction process proceeds smoothly and is completed on schedule," said Captain Inf Faisal Kurniawan.

According to him, the pouring of the foundation is a key stage as it serves as the main support for the structure. A strong foundation will determine the bridge's durability against traffic loads and environmental conditions in the surrounding area. Meanwhile, the assembly of the steel framework for the bridge is ongoing as preparation for the next construction stage.

He emphasized that the construction of the bridge is a crucial step in opening up transportation access for the remote communities located in the border area of Aceh Selatan-Aceh Singkil.

Previously, the community in the area faced transportation access limitations, particularly during the rainy season when road access becomes difficult to traverse. These conditions also affected the community's economic activities, particularly in transporting agricultural and forestry products to marketing centers.

Therefore, the presence of the Aramco Bridge is expected to provide a practical solution in reducing the isolation of the area. With the availability of better access, the community's mobility will become more efficient, travel time can be shortened, and the distribution of agricultural products from the community is expected to be more effective and efficient.
