The fourth edition of Nîm’en Flat took place in the historic city of Nîmes, a haven for classic cars.
On Saturday and Sunday, over 200 Porsche cars were parked on the Esplanade Charles-de-Gaulle, a testament to the enduring appeal of the German brand.
Porsches of all ages and colors were on display, with owners and enthusiasts alike gathering to share their passion and knowledge.
Christophe Murat, treasurer of the Nîm’en Flat association, said, ‘It’s a spirit of sharing and sympathy. A Porsche is not a luxury car, but a vehicle for passionate people. The first-generation Porsche 911 could be had for around 15,000 euros. It’s a question of priority and sacrifice. A Porsche is the sports car that many of us have always dreamed of.’
The event featured a parade of 50 cars over three hours, starting from Uzès and ending at the Mont-Bouquet, and a second parade took place on the Sunday afternoon.
The Nîm’en Flat event aims to promote the spirit of sharing and friendship among Porsche enthusiasts, with 75% of the participating owners being from the Gard region.
The event was organized by the Nîm’en Flat association, with the support of the Nîmes tourism office, and saw over 2,500 visitors over two days.
The association aims to reverse a portion of the proceeds to support the Passion et Partage association, which organizes motorsport and golf events to raise funds for handicapped children.
