LONDON (AP) — The UK's Prince George is set to take a significant step in his education by attending Eton College this fall, just like his father Prince William.

Months of speculation have finally come to an end, with Kensington Palace confirming that Prince George, 12, will be joining the prestigious boarding school this September.

Eton College, founded in 1440 by King Henry VI, boasts an impressive history of educating Britain's future leaders, including former Prime Ministers Robert Walpole, David Cameron, and Boris Johnson.

The school's distinguished alumni list includes Prince George's uncle Prince Harry, his great-uncle Earl Charles Spencer, and of course, his father.

Currently, Prince George attends Lambrook, a private prep school in Berkshire, where his siblings Princess Charlotte, 11, and 8-year-old Prince Louis, also receive their education.

As Prince George embarks on this new chapter in his life, we wish him the very best in his academic pursuits and future endeavors.
