PSG's Request for Argentina to Limit Messi's Playing Time Against Brazil

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is reportedly asking Argentina to limit Lionel Messi's playing time to just 20 minutes during their World Cup qualifier against Brazil on Wednesday (11/17).

Argentina is set to face Brazil in a crucial World Cup qualifier at the San Juan del Bicentenario Stadium. Argentina is looking to win to join Brazil in the World Cup final.

However, ahead of the crucial match, Argentina is facing pressure from PSG, who currently owns Messi.

According to Sportskeeda, citing a report from Marca, PSG has requested that Argentina limit Messi's playing time against Brazil to 20 minutes.

However, it's up to Argentina's coach Lionel Scaloni whether to playing Messi or not.

Messi has been dealing with fitness issues during the international break. Before joining Argentina, Messi skipped two matches for PSG due to a hamstring injury and a knee injury.

Messi played only 14 minutes against Uruguay on Saturday (11/13), coming on in the 76th minute for Giovani Lo Celso.

With limited playing time, Lionel Messi failed to contribute any goals or assists against Uruguay.

PSG's request is believed to be in response to criticism from the club's sports director, Leonardo, who is unhappy with Messi's preference for playing for Argentina over PSG.

Lionel Messi has consistently played full matches for Argentina since September and October, while skipping several matches for PSG.
