Red Bull Awaits New Parts to Proceed with Barcelona Testing

Red Bull will not participate in this Thursday's F1 test in Barcelona.

The Red Bull testing program in Barcelona has been delayed as the team awaits the arrival of new parts.

This comes after a massive crash by Isack Hadjar on the second day of testing, which left Red Bull short on parts to fix their RB22, as reported by Dutch journalist Erik van Haren.

Hajar, who was promoted from Racing Bulls to become the latest teammate of Max Verstappen at Red Bull, lost control of his car on a slippery turn and crashed into the barriers with the rear of the car first.

Hajar was not injured in the crash, but the impact caused significant damage to the rear of his RB22 and shortened the second day of Red Bull's testing.

On Tuesday night, Red Bull Team Principal, Laurent Mekies, said that his team needed to assess the damage before deciding when they could complete their testing program for the first week of pre-season testing.

'It was a very difficult session today, so it's sad it ended like that, but that's part of the game,' Mekies said.

'The issue arose after a very, very positive day yesterday in terms of the number of laps Isack managed to complete in the car, and in terms of the learning and development and feedback to the engineers.

'We'll try to do our best to fix the car and see what happens next.'

Red Bull is now racing against time to receive the new parts and fit them to their 2026 car in order to complete the third and final allowed test day on Friday.

Haas will also not be taking part in the test on Thursday after experiencing two mechanical issues on the final day of the private test.
