Red Bull intends to appeal the decision to rescind Pierre Gasly's Monaco penalties.
Laurent Mekies, Red Bull team principal, believes the appeal goes beyond Isack Hadjar's lost Monaco Grand Prix podium.
Hadjar was removed from the top three in Monaco after Pierre Gasly's pit-lane speeding penalties were overturned.
Gasly received two five-second penalties for pit-lane speeding infringements in Monaco, which were later overturned after Alpine lodged a post-race Right of Review.
Formula One Management revealed that the distance used in the calculation was inaccurate and overstated Gasly's speed.
As Gasly did not serve his penalties in-race, Alpine could appeal, whereas McLaren's Oscar Piastri, who also received a penalty, served his penalty and could not appeal.
Red Bull boss Laurent Mekies stressed the need for an effective and clear system for the future.
Mekies stated that the team has not yet submitted the full appeal but believes it's a matter of principle for the sport to get clarity on non-appealable penalties during the race.
