David Logan, a 39-year-old DJ, graphic designer, husband, and father, died Tuesday morning in a head-on car crash in Trimble County, Kentucky, south of Carrollton.

Kentucky State Police said a 29-year-old woman driving a Volvo crossed the center line on rural Highway U.S. 421 and hit Logan's vehicle. The driver of the Volvo and three children in her car were flown to hospitals in Louisville with serious injuries.

Logan lived in Lawrenceburg with his wife and son and was a beloved figure in Cincinnati's creative community.

He performed weekly DJ sets at the Doubt It in Covington's Mainstrasse Village, where his death is being deeply felt.

Mike Mercer, owner of the Doubt It bar, said Logan, who performed under the stage name D-Lo, was a true light and a man of incredible talent who "left a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to know him."

"He could turn a stranger into a friend in a single off-the-wall set and leave you begging for just one more song before the night ended," Mercer said.

Tuesday's crash remains under investigation. A roadside market owner in Trimble County said Logan was heading that way to print labels as part of his graphic design work.

A GoFundMe supporting David Logan's family is now in place.
