Rod Stewart's recent actions have raised eyebrows among fans.
Just a day after canceling a California concert due to illness, the 81-year-old singer was seen cheering on Scotland at a FIFA World Cup match.
The concert at North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre in San Diego was scrapped just 40 minutes before it was due to start, with organizers initially citing a sinus infection and Stewart later blaming an acute upper respiratory infection with laryngitis.
However, photos and videos from the match showed Stewart smiling and apparently in good spirits while wearing Scottish colors and drinking what appeared to be alcoholic beverages.
The post that sparked outrage among fans was from Saturday morning showing Stewart boarding a private jet with his sons to watch Scotland play Haiti in the World Cup.
Rod Stewart defended himself saying, 'Here we are flying off to Boston to see Scotland in the World Cup.', before joining his sons in singing, 'No Scotland, no party!'
A representative for Stewart explained that his medical condition was genuine and that he had been treated with steroids in the hopes of being able to perform.
Stewart is next scheduled to perform at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado on Monday, leaving fans wondering if he has fully recovered and will reschedule the San Diego concert.
