However, Santa Monica Studio has not revealed any official information about the game's setting or story, leaving fans to rely on speculation and rumors.

It is worth noting that a remake of the classic God of War trilogy is also in the works, with the return of T.C. Carson as the voice of Kratos. Announced during the State of Play in February 2026, the remake is still in its early stages, with no release date confirmed. Additionally, Amazon is working on a television series adapting the events of God of War (2018) and God of War: Ragnarok. However, due to an injury sustained by Ryan Hurst during production, it has been announced that he will be replaced as Kratos. The replacement actor has not been confirmed, but a portion of the filming has already been completed.
