Crawford made several highlight-reel defensive plays, including a spectacular snag in the top of the 6th inning.

The Rangers refused to give up, mounting a late-inning comeback effort. With the score tied 4-4 in the top of the 9th, Mariners' closer Paul Sewald entered the game to seal the win. Sewald worked the full inning, allowing just 1 base runner to reach via a walk and retiring the side to secure the Mariners' victory. 'It was a team effort all the way around,' Sewald said in a post-game interview.

The Mariners' win raises their record to 52-42, while the Rangers fall to 50-45. Seattle now holds a narrow 2-game lead in the AL West division. With the season's stretch run approaching, the rivalry between the Mariners and Rangers is expected to heat up in the coming weeks.
