Sega Revives the Classic: Crazy Taxi World Tour Unveiled at Xbox Games Showcase

Breaking News in One Second!

Xbox Games Showcase has officially announced the arrival of around 25 new games in the next year. This information was reported by Gamebrott, which stated that the lineup of games comes from Xbox's core studios to its platform partners.

One of the announcements that caught our attention is the return of a classic Sega game. The crazy taxi game is making a comeback in a reboot version, titled Crazy Taxi World Tour.

Sega has showcased a one-minute-and-twenty-six-second first look video for Crazy Taxi World Tour. The video begins with a San Francisco-like cityscape.

The game's main character, Axel, is back on his iconic taxi, racing wildly through city streets. The clip showcases various new mission types that players can complete.

Some of the missions shown include picking up passengers, delivering pizza orders, performing drifting maneuvers, and ferrying a fisherman to catch fish. At the end of the video, a woman is driving a car towards Axel to pass on a mission to the next location.

According to its official description, Crazy Taxi World Tour will feature 5 different cities to explore. This project has been a hot topic since May.

Rumors emerged after the game's official Twitter/X account posted a visual code consisting of a taxi lamp with flashing lights. To make things even more exciting, the band Electric Callboy and The Offspring released a new single titled Let The Good Times Roll.

The single's cover features the band members sitting on a taxi resembling Axel's vehicle. The song is now officially the video game's new soundtrack.

The Offspring was also the original soundtrack provider for the first Crazy Taxi series. Crazy Taxi World Tour is scheduled to release in 2027.

Although an exact release date has not been confirmed, the game will be available on Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam and Xbox PC.
