Sega Revolutionizes Crazy Taxi with World Tour at Xbox Games Showcase

Sega has officially unveiled the first-ever trailer for their highly-anticipated Crazy Taxi World Tour game. This epic announcement was made at the Xbox Games Showcase, as revealed by Gamebrott. The showcase featured around 25 new games set to launch in the next year.

The project, a collaborative effort between Xbox's top studios and partner developers, has dropped a 1-minute 26-second trailer that takes players back to a stunning San Francisco-style city. The iconic Axel, the game's main protagonist, makes a triumphant return behind the wheel, effortlessly weaving through city streets.

This exciting reboot version boasts thrilling glimpses of different missions that players can tackle. From delivering passengers and pizzas, to drifting and fishing, the game promises endless fun for its audience.

In a particularly exciting twist, the trailer ends with a mysterious woman joining Axel in his cab. She hands him a new mission to head to the next city, suggesting that the game will feature a diverse range of cities for players to explore.

This reboot has been making waves since May 2023. Fans had been speculating about the game's return after Sega released a cryptic teaser featuring a lamp-post with a 'TAXI' sign.

The game's music, 'Let The Good Times Roll' by Electric Callboy & The Offspring, takes center stage in the trailer, showcasing the band's energetic vibe and their connection to the game.

In an earlier version of Crazy Taxi, The Offspring served as the soundtrack.

Crazy Taxi World Tour is set to release in 2027, although the exact release date is yet to be announced by Sega.

The game is expected to be available on modern platforms, including Xbox Series, PC via Steam and Xbox PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
