SEGA Sapporo Studio president Takaya Segawa spilled the beans to The Japan Times, revealing that the studio has been tasked with handling AAA game projects.
'Until now, when graduates here wanted to work for a gaming company, they needed to look outside Hokkaido,' says Sega Sapporo studio director Tomoaki Takayanagi.
Segawa further explained the role of SEGA Sapporo Studio, highlighting their collaborations with Tokyo-based studios and international partners.

'We don't currently have a title we're exclusively developing, but we're looking to do that in the future,' Segawa added.
