Sélections : Folarin Balogun's Confident Stance - An American Footballer in the Spotlight

The latest news on AS Monaco's activities in the football world.

The 2026 World Cup has finally begun, and Folarin Balogun and Paul Pogba have spoken about this prestigious competition.

Folarin Balogun, with his quick wit, drew a comparison with Spider-Man: 'A great pressure comes with great responsibility.' The AS Monaco attacker, at home, is more than determined: 'I'll try to be a solid player, replicate my performances with the club on the international stage. I'm very enthusiastic, as this is a unique opportunity to showcase my talent. I hope our fans will be like European fans.'

Across the Atlantic, Paul Pogba is full of confidence for the French national team: 'This may be the strongest team since 2006. I believe there's an even better team than in 2022 and 2018, on an individual level. We know we're one of the strongest nations, following the exceptional performances of the players and the French Ballon d'Or.'

The French national team is considered one of the favorites, alongside Portugal, Spain, and potentially the surprise contender, Brazil.
