South Korean fans could not imagine a K-Pop landscape without RIIZE's Sohee.
Recently, Sohee appeared as a guest on Lee Mujin's YouTube Series, Lee Mujin Service.
During the episode, he shared a story he had never revealed before.
“ I've talked about this several times on live broadcasts and programs, but there is something that I haven't revealed before.”
— Sohee
Sohee revealed that he joined SM Entertainment at 18 years old. However, he left the agency and focused on preparing for his college entrance exams.
When he turned 20, he started taking the exams at several universities.
But things didn't really go as planned. He got way more nervous than he expected, and there were so many people who were really good.
In the midst of things not going well, on his way out of taking an exam, he met the SM casting team, and they asked if he would consider coming back.
They remembered me. But given my poor college exam prep situation...at that time, my family told me to go for it and practice, so I went back.

Hearing this, fans were grateful he returned and shared his talent with the world.
A heartwarming story of perseverance and talent.
