Sohee, a member of the popular boy group RIIZE, recently appeared on Lee Mujin's YouTube series, Lee Mujin Service.
In the episode, he shared a story he had never revealed before.
“I've talked about this several times on live broadcasts and programs, but there's something that I haven't revealed before,” Sohee said.
He went on to share the story of how he almost didn't make it back to SM Entertainment.
'I joined SM when I was 18, then left the agency, and prepared for my college entrance exams after leaving. When I turned 20, I started taking the college entrance exams at several universities, but things didn't really go as planned,' he explained.
'I got way more nervous than I expected, and there were so many people who were really good,' Sohee added.
In the midst of things not going well, Sohee met the SM casting team on his way out of taking an exam, and they asked if he would consider coming back.
'They remembered me,' Sohee said. 'But given my poor college exam prep situation…at that time, my family told me to go for it and practice, so I went back.'
Fans were relieved to hear that Sohee gave SM a second chance.
'I will never stop thanking Sohee for coming back,' one fan tweeted.
Sohee's fans are grateful that he decided to pursue his K-Pop dreams instead of focusing on his education.
'Could we have imagined a K-Pop world without him?' another fan asked.
Fans couldn't help but feel grateful that this talented K-Pop star got a second chance at stardom.
