South Carolina Personal Trainer Vanishes Amid Concerns Over Her Sudden Disappearance

A personal trainer in South Carolina, Elena Katherine Moore, has left her family and friends in a state of panic after vanishing without a trace. According to the Lexington Police Department, Moore was last seen leaving Planet Fitness in Lexington, about 14 miles outside Columbia, on Thursday at 9:17 p.m.

CCTV footage shows Moore walking toward a wooded area behind a nearby Lowe's Home Improvement store, wearing the same outfit she had on at the gym - an olive green zip-up hoodie and black athletic pants. Her husband, Brannon Slice, reported her missing the following day.

Moore is a regular at Planet Fitness and her disappearance has been described by police as 'out of character.' They have deployed a drone to search the area where she was last seen, but so far, no signs of her have been found.

Law enforcement has joined multiple local and state agencies in a more extensive search of the wooded areas, but 'no trace of Ms. Moore was found during the operation.' They are stressing that the search is not a recovery effort, but an attempt to eliminate one possible location where Moore could be.

Police have released new photographs of Moore, including images captured on a front door camera a week before her disappearance, in an effort to prompt anyone who may recognize her to come forward.

Authorities are also attempting to track down Moore's phone, which she had on her at one point, but it's unclear if she still has it.

Moore is a personal trainer at Wolf's Fitness Center and works as a pharmacy technician at CVS. Described as 5 feet 7 inches tall and 120 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, she is currently missing.

A friend of Moore's, Lauren Beasley, told Fox News that she last spoke with her about a month ago, and Moore seemed to be her normal self. However, Beasley mentioned that Moore stopped posting on social media about a month before she went missing, which was unusual.

According to Fox News, Moore's last social media post was made on April 23, and her last Facebook post on April 15. Her husband was quoted as saying that his wife was 'not well.'

Police have stated that they do not suspect foul play in Moore's disappearance and do not believe she is in imminent danger. Anyone with information about Moore's whereabouts is asked to contact detectives at 803-358-7271 or Midlands Crimestoppers.
