Splatoon Raiders Unveils Exciting New Manga Adventure

Get ready to dive into a brand-new manga adventure as Splatoon Raiders, a single-player spinoff game, is set to launch its manga on July 15 in the upcoming issue of Coro Coro Comics magazine. Renowned manga creators Sankichi Hinodeya, known for their work on the Splatoon and Splatoon 3: Splatlands manga, will be taking on this exciting new project.

Splatoon Raiders will hit the Switch 2 on July 23, where players take on the role of a skilled mechanic and embark on an unforgettable journey to the mysterious Spirhalite Islands alongside the charismatic Deep Cut trio.

After its initial conclusion in November 2021, the Splatoon manga temporarily wrapped up with a hint that it would be revisiting content related to Splatoon 3. The manga resumed its storyline in September 2022, now known as Splatoon 3: Splatlands (Splatoon Bankara!), and has been on a creative hiatus since April 15. Interestingly, Coro Coro Comics magazine has also announced the release of another manga titled Splatoon: Squid Kids Comedy Show, with Hideki Goto at the helm. The manga launched in the April 2017 issue of Shogakukan's Bessatsu Coro Coro Comic Special magazine.

In another exciting development, Splatoon 3, the latest installment in Nintendo's highly-acclaimed shooter series, made its splashy debut in September 2022. Notably, the game broke records by selling an impressive 3.45 million copies in Japan within its first three days of release. Although Nintendo initially announced in September 2024 that Splatoon 3 would no longer receive regular updates, a surprise update was revealed in June 2025, much to the delight of fans.
