Miami hosts a dominant McLaren for the second time in Formula 1. In the Sprint Race at the Hard Rock Stadium, Lando Norris converts a pole position into a convincing win, controlling the race from the start and securing a crucial 1-2 result for the Woking team, ahead of Oscar Piastri. Behind them, Charles Leclerc brings Ferrari to the podium, confirming the SF-26's reliability even on a weekend where the papaya colors dominated once again.

The race's outcome became apparent as early as the opening laps. Norris got off to a strong start from pole and immediately directed the Sprint towards the desired path, while Mercedes' Kimi Antonelli, who started on the front row, failed to maintain his position. He slid behind the two McLarens and Leclerc, thereby being eliminated from the podium battle. From there on, Norris consolidated his lead with a consistent rhythm, until he was able to control the second half of the race without any real threats.

Piastri's race was more thrilling, as he had to fend off Leclerc's counterattacks. The Monacan tried to get closer in the middle and end phases, even entering the zone where he had the potential to unsettle the Australian, but he never found the necessary momentum to complete his pursuit. Ferrari showed excellent speed, particularly during the race, but ultimately couldn't challenge the dominance of the McLaren duo. For Leclerc, this podium remains vital, serving to confirm the Rossa team's consistency at the start of the season.

The evening was particularly challenging for Mercedes. Antonelli struggled to stay attached to the leading group after a difficult start, but the W17's pace couldn't match McLaren and Ferrari on a scorching Miami evening. This result was further compounded by a 5-second penalty for track limits infringement, causing him to slide from fourth to sixth at the finish. George Russell inherited fourth place, ahead of Max Verstappen who finished fifth in the Red Bull.

Seventh place went to Lewis Hamilton with the remaining Ferrari, after a less impressive Sprint compared to Leclerc. The British driver finished ahead of Pierre Gasly, who secured eighth place with Alpine and became the last points scorer. The final standings put Norris ahead of Piastri and Leclerc, with Russell, Verstappen, Antonelli, Hamilton, and Gasly completing the top eight.
