Swarm of Tens of Thousands of Bees Invades Netivot, Israel: Could This Be a Biblical Sign?

The southern Israeli city of Netivot was recently overwhelmed by a swarm of tens of thousands of bees that invaded various public areas on Wednesday, April 15.

The swarm of bees filled a shopping complex, balconies of residents' homes, and even cars, causing panic among the public and recordings of the incident going viral on social media.

According to Ynet, the local government immediately issued a warning for citizens to avoid the area and wait for professional handling.

The swarm of bees even disrupted military activities by covering aircraft engines at the airport, hindering takeoff procedures.

Some social media users drew comparisons to a plague described in the Old Testament.

"Tens of thousands of bees have just invaded Israel like the first plague straight out of the Old Testament," one social media user wrote, as quoted by The Daily Star.

Some users even referenced Isaiah 7:18: "On that day the Lord will whistle for the fly that is at the end of the channels of the Nile, and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria."

The verse describes God summoning foreign powers to attack Israel and bring judgment upon Judah.

This phenomenon has caused widespread concern among residents who described Netivot as being overrun by an "apocalyptic bee swarm."

The phenomenon of tens of thousands of bees in Netivot is not only causing panic among citizens but also sparking public speculation connecting it to biblical stories.
