The Brazil National Team Should Take a Cue from Morocco's Winning Formula

The shocking elimination of the Brazilian national team from the 2026 World Cup by Norway in the round of 16 has sent shockwaves throughout the football world. Brazilian legend Ricardo Kaká, a World Cup winner in 2002, has sounded the alarm, asserting that the South American nation is falling behind in the competitive landscape. This assertion is inextricably linked to the nation's inability to produce a structured and cohesive approach to developing its young talent. Kaká, now a football analyst, believes that Brazil should learn from Morocco, which has been making waves in the football world with their organized and systematic approach to youth development and football.

Brazilian football, or soccer, has long been known for its flair and passion, but the lack of a clear, long-term vision has left the nation lagging behind. Morocco, on the other hand, has made significant strides in recent years, thanks to a well-thought-out system that has allowed them to produce quality players who can transition seamlessly from the youth ranks to the senior team. The Marocan U20 team, which won the FIFA World Cup in 2022, is a perfect example of this seamless transition, with many of its players graduating to the senior team and making valuable contributions. Kaká believes that this structure is the key to Brazil's future success and has urged the Confederation Brasileira de Futebol (CBF) and Brazilian clubs to learn from the Moroccan model.

Kaká has expressed admiration for the Moroccan football authorities, who have implemented a visionary approach that has brought about remarkable results. Morocco's impressive campaign in the 2026 World Cup, where they reached the semifinals, is a testament to this approach. Kaká believes that the key to Morocco's success lies in the creation of a 'passerelle parfaite' – a perfect bridge – between the youth and senior teams. This enables players to transition smoothly from one level to the other, creating a cohesive and competitive national team. Brazil, on the other hand, has struggled with this transition, with many young players struggling to adapt to the demands of the senior team.

Brazilian football has always been known for its flair and creativity, but this unpredictability has been a curse in disguise, resulting in a lack of discipline and organization. Morocco, on the other hand, has found a perfect balance between creative flair and discipline, which has enabled them to achieve success at the highest level. Kaká believes that Brazil needs to adopt a structured approach, like Morocco, to unlock its full potential. The veteran midfielder has emphasized that a well-planned system should serve as the foundation for the creativity and improvisation that is characteristic of Brazilian football.

The Brazilian national team's future will depend on its ability to strike a balance between discipline and creativity. Kaká believes that the team needs to adopt a long-term approach to develop its young players and create a cohesive unit that can compete with the best teams in the world. By learning from Morocco's winning formula, Brazil can unlock its full potential and become a dominant force in world football once again.

As the Brazilian football team looks to revive its fortunes, it must draw inspiration from Morocco's remarkable journey. The Moroccan national team's impressive campaign in the 2026 World Cup has caught the attention of football fans worldwide, and it serves as a reminder that success is not just about flair and creativity but also about discipline and organization. By adopting a structured approach, Brazil can unlock its full potential and become a force to be reckoned with in world football.
