KabarOto.com - As we mark 30 years since the passing of Ayrton Senna, Netflix has released the first trailer for its upcoming miniseries honoring the life and career of one of Formula 1's greatest drivers.

The two-minute trailer starts with Gabriel Leone taking on the role of Ayrton Senna, getting ready to compete in the 1991 Brazilian Grand Prix. As reported by Car and Driver, Leone portrays Senna sitting in his McLaren MP4/6, which eventually leads him to his first-home Grand Prix victory and his third world championship in the 1991 season.

A clip from Senna's childhood appears on screen with a reflection in his glasses. When he conquers the Interlagos circuit in Brazil, we're taken to a clip of a young Senna envisioning himself as a champion.

The brief trailer then shows Ayrton Senna emotionally crossing the finish line to win his first Grand Prix in his home country, a meaningful achievement given his car's gear-six problems at the time.

The series will adapt Senna's racing career from his move to England for the Formula Ford championship to his tragic death at Imola in 1994. From the trailer and photos released, it seems that Senna's relationship with his rivals and teammates, Alain Prost, will be a key focus.

Netflix also revealed that other Formula 1 legends will appear, such as Nelson Piquet, Niki Lauda, and James Hunt. Gabriel Leone, who plays Senna, is a Brazilian actor who recently played Alfonso de Portago in the film Ferrari by Michael Mann.

Although the official release date has not been announced by Netflix, they confirmed that the series will be released before the end of this year.
