The LOSC Makes a Comeback: Will Anis Hadj Moussa Join the Club?

The highly anticipated transfer of Anis Hadj Moussa to Newcastle United has hit a roadblock, but the LOSC is reviving its interest in the Algerian international, a move that could shake up the European football landscape. As of now, no official agreement has been reached between Newcastle and Feyenoord, Hadj Moussa's current club, over the price tag of 35 million euros. Meanwhile, the LOSC is seizing the opportunity to rekindle its pursuit of the prolific winger, who boasts impressive statistics in the Eredivisie, including 15 goals and 25 assists in 60 appearances for Feyenoord.

The Lille-based club's interest in Hadj Moussa is not a new phenomenon. Back in January 2025, the Algerian international was a top priority to replace Edon Zhegrova, but the negotiations fell through due to Feyenoord's exorbitant asking price. The financial burden posed by Hadj Moussa's transfer fee appears daunting, but the LOSC remains undeterred, recognizing the potential benefits of securing his services. By signing Hadj Moussa, Lille would not only strengthen its squad but also gain valuable experience in European competitions, a crucial factor in their quest for domestic and international success.

The LOSC's determination to land Hadj Moussa stems from their ambitions to establish themselves as a force to be reckoned with in European football. Finishing third in Ligue 1 last season with 61 points, Lille will participate in the Champions League group stage, providing a prime opportunity for the club to showcase Hadj Moussa's exceptional talent to a broader audience. The Algerian international's skills on the right wing would be a perfect fit for the LOSC's playing style, allowing him to replicate the success he enjoyed under the guidance of Coach John van den Brom.

Riyad Mahrez, the star player of the Algerian national team and a key figure for the LOSC, has praised Hadj Moussa's abilities, stating, 'Anis is a highly talented player who has the potential to become a world-class winger.' The Algerian international's impressive form for Feyenoord has earned him recognition in the football world, with numerous clubs seeking to secure his services. Newcastle, however, remains a strong contender, and Bilal El Khannouss is also being targeted by the Magpies.

The impending transfer saga is set to unfold in the coming weeks, with the LOSC facing significant challenges in convincing Feyenoord to lower their asking price. The French club must act swiftly and find a creative solution to the financial stalemate, a move that could determine the course of the 2026-27 season. The fate of Anis Hadj Moussa's transfer hangs in the balance, and the fans are eagerly awaiting news of his potential departure from Feyenoord.
