It's no secret that Green Day is known for their outspoken views and activism, particularly when it comes to politics. During their performance at the 2020 Super Bowl, the band played their hit song 'American Idiot,' with lyrics that many interpreted as a message to then-President Donald Trump.

However, despite the obvious connection between the song and Trump, the President seemed to avoid any harsh criticism from the public or the media. But why?

One possible explanation is that many people saw the performance as a celebration of the band's music rather than a direct attack on Trump. Additionally, the song's lyrics are intentionally vague, making it difficult to pinpoint a specific target. This ambiguity may have contributed to the lack of harsh criticism.
