Washington, D.C. (TNND) — After knocking out Derrick Lewis in the second round of their fight at UFC Freedom 250, heavyweight fighter Josh Hokit made some shocking comments.
During his post-fight interview with UFC commentator Joe Rogan, Hokit declared: 'Hey, shout out to Trump for having the balls to put on some s*** like this. Praise to God.' But his next statement sparked outrage: 'Michelle Obama is a man.'
Hokit, who is known for his provocative persona, made these statements while still in the Octagon with Rogan.
UFC CEO Dana White responded to Hokit's comments, stating, 'I understand that the Obama's are public figures, but I'm completely against saying nasty and false things about people's families. Everyone knows my position on free speech, but I hate that kind of nonsense.'
Rogan did not address Hokit's statement during the interview.
Hokit gifted his chain to President Trump on his 80th birthday, and the White House posted pictures of the moment on their social media saying 'New bling.'
The UFC originally was not going to showcase this fight at the White House but added Hokit after a request from President Trump.
