In the upcoming thriller 'Primetime', Pattinson takes on the iconic role of To Catch a Predator host Chris Hansen. Directed by Lance Oppenheim and based on a true story, the film captures Hansen during a pivotal moment in the show's history as he pushes his crew to extreme lengths to pull off sting operations designed to catch child predators. The true story that inspired the film is a dark and thought-provoking tale that serves as a reminder of the consequences of our actions and the importance of protecting vulnerable individuals.

To Catch a Predator was a periodic special investigative segment on Dateline NBC that ran from 2004 to 2007. During this time, the show followed undercover sting operations across the country, exposing the horrors of child predators and the devastating impact it has on children and families. The show's dark denouement is a somber reminder of the price paid by those involved. In November 2006, the Rockwall County assistant district attorney Bill Conradt took his own life when Texas police and the To Catch a Predator team entered his home with search and arrest warrants. This devastating event led to the show's cancellation in 2008 and a subsequent investigation by ABC's 20/20 and a lawsuit filed by Conradt's sister.

Despite the challenges and controversy surrounding the show, the cast of 'Primetime' shines with their remarkable performances. Pattinson is joined by the talented Merritt Wever, the rising star Skyler Gisondo, and the incredibly talented Phoebe Bridgers, among others. As the film delves into the world of sting operations, the cast masterfully brings to life the complexities and moral dilemmas of those involved.
