US Central Command Reports Iranian Missile Intercept in the Strait of Hormuz

US forces have intercepted Iranian ballistic missiles and drones launched towards the Strait of Hormuz and surrounding countries in the Gulf region.

According to a statement from the United States Central Command (CENTCOM), a total of seven ballistic missiles were fired by Iran towards Kuwait and Bahrain on June 5.

Six of the missiles were successfully intercepted by US forces, while the seventh did not reach its target.

Additionally, CENTCOM reported that there have been no reports of casualties or losses among US military personnel.

Iran's claim that they damaged the headquarters of the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain has also been disputed by CENTCOM.

The US military remains on high alert and is prepared to respond to what it describes as Iranian aggression.
