USMNT Star Tyler Adams Praises Knicks' Historic Comeback: 'Maybe They Can Do Something Special'

The New York Knicks have made history with their largest comeback in NBA Finals history, and the celebratory video featuring USMNT star Tyler Adams and his teammates has gone viral with over 5.2 million views on X.

Adams, a die-hard Knicks fan, was among millions who couldn't believe it when OG Anunoby's tip-in gave Knicks the lead, and U.S. Soccer captured the dramatic moment.

The Knicks are now just one win away from ending their 50-year NBA championship drought, and Adams, who grew up as a Knicks fan with his family, feels a special connection to the team's momentous achievement.

'Of course, as a New York kid who grew up being a Knicks fan with my family, yeah, this is pretty special right now,' Adams said. 'Maybe they can do something special.'

Adams admitted that he was caught up in the euphoria of the moment and lost track of what was happening.

'Anything can happen at that moment. I lost consciousness in the middle of it all. I'm glad we're here today because we were able to follow up with another training session,' he said.

The Knicks have been waiting decades to prove themselves as title-worthy contenders, and Adams was asked if their journey could inspire others.

'It's pretty captivating,' Adams replied. 'I think it's great for the ones who are considered underdogs from the East and they did something special like what they're doing right now. But I'm a New York Knicks fan.'

However, not everyone in the locker room shared the same positive vibe, with Adams pointing out some 'haters' among his teammates, including Brenden, a Sixers fan, and Haji Wright, a self-proclaimed hater.

USMNT will kick off their World Cup journey this Friday against Paraguay in Los Angeles.
