The request from Vitória highlights the challenges faced by fans who have already purchased tickets and made travel arrangements for the weekend of the previously scheduled match date, with over 1,000 fans having made plans to attend the match in Curitiba.

According to the Brazilian football calendar, the first Saturday or Sunday in August typically falls on August 5th or 6th, which would provide fans with a more convenient and feasible option for attending the match.

The board at Vitória believes that altering the match date will have a positive impact on the overall atmosphere and support for the team, allowing fans to enjoy the match in a more relaxed and enjoyable environment.

The CBF will now consider the request from Vitória, weighing the potential benefits and drawbacks of changing the date of the match, and making a decision that is in the best interest of both teams and their fans.
