West Marine Heads to Shores of Bankruptcy: Five WA Stores to Close

This is the perfect time to hit the water with West Marine's summer gear and boating supplies. However, the company's announcement of closing five Washington stores may leave you wondering where to go next.

West Marine's financial struggles, including supply chain disruptions, extreme weather events, and shifts in consumer behavior, led to its decision to file for bankruptcy. As a result, 59 stores worldwide will be closing, with five of those locations in Washington state.

The stores in Bellingham, Bremerton, Everett, Port Townsend, and Spokane will have going-out-of-business sales before shutting their doors. Luckily, the Seattle store at 1400 N.W. 45th Street is not on the list... yet.

During this transition, West Marine is committed to supporting its crew members and promising to serve customers through its remaining locations, online, and through its West Marine Pro App.
