Yankees Make Last-Minute Roster Decision Ahead of Blue Jays Showdown

The New York Yankees will face off against the Toronto Blue Jays in Canada on Saturday afternoon, looking to bounce back from a 8-5 loss on Friday.

Trent Grisham had a solid performance, finishing with one hit and two RBI's, but ultimately left the game injured. The 29-year-old is in his third season with the Yankees, having previously played for the Milwaukee Brewers and San Diego Padres. Grisham is batting .232 with 52 hits, eight home runs, 35 RBI's, 40 runs, and six stolen bases in 66 games.

Ahead of the game, the Yankees announced some roster moves. Outfielder Jasson Dominguez has been returned from his rehab assignment and reinstated from the 10-day injured list. Unfortunately, Trent Grisham has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a right hamstring strain.

Dominguez, in his fourth MLB season with the Yankees, is currently batting .200 with six hits, one home run, four RBI's, and three runs in nine games this year. The Yankees are looking to get him back up to speed with the team.

The Yankees are currently in second place in the American League East with a 41-27 record in 68 games. They have gone 6-4 over their last ten games and are 22-15 in 37 games on the road. Following two more games with the Blue Jays, the Yankees will return home to host the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday night.
