At the heart of the farewell messages is Thibaut Courtois, one of the most prominent goalkeepers to have benefited from Llopis's expertise. Courtois and Llopis shared a particularly special bond during their time at Real Madrid, and it is no surprise that Courtois took to social media to express his heartfelt gratitude. 'Thank you for everything, my friend,' Courtois wrote in his message, capturing the essence of the outpouring of sentiment from the Real Madrid goalkeeping community.

The Belgian goalkeeper reached new heights under Llopis's tutelage, producing some of his finest performances in the 2021-2022 season. Furthermore, the goalkeeping coach played a vital role in preparing substitutes like Kepa and Andriy Lunin to feature in the 2023-2024 Champions League edition.
