You'll need to be quick before they're gone.
If you've ever looked at a blind box full of mystery beauty products, collectible toys, or TikTok-famous gadgets and thought, "What if this were groceries?" —Aldi apparently had the same idea.
The grocery chain is officially entering its surprise-box era with the launch of the Aldi Blind Box, a limited-time promotion that lets shoppers claim free mystery grocery bundles delivered straight to their door.
From June 22 through June 25, Aldi will release a different themed blind box each day, packed with a mix of fan-favorite products, everyday staples, and potential new obsessions. The catch? You'll have to move fast.
Blind boxes have exploded in popularity by turning the unknown into the main attraction. Whether it's collectibles, toys, or beauty products, part of the fun is not knowing what's inside until the box is opened—a suspense that has helped unboxing videos rack up millions of views on social media.
Now Aldi is bringing that same energy to grocery shopping. Instead of revealing a rare collectible, shoppers will uncover snacks, pantry staples, produce, and other grocery finds.
The biggest difference? Most blind boxes cost money. Aldi's version is completely free, making the surprise a lot more fun—and a lot less risky.
Over the four-day promotion, shoppers will have a chance to claim one of four themed boxes.
This one is designed for snack lovers who treat grazing as a legitimate meal strategy. Aldi says shoppers can expect a mix of craveable products perfect for mixing, matching, and satisfying whatever snack mood strikes.
Consider this the "feel your best" box. According to Aldi, it's packed with fiber-rich products, gut-friendly staples, and fresh picks that make hitting fiber goals a little more enjoyable. Your future self may have a thank-you note to write.
Protein continues to dominate grocery trends, and Aldi's version is designed to keep shoppers fueled and full with a mix of protein-forward products and pantry staples. Basically, the box equivalent of a gym bro asking, "But how much protein does it have?"
And then there's the wild card.
Aldi isn't revealing much about the Mystery Blind Box beyond the promise that it contains a surprising mix of products from across the store. The retailer is keeping this one under tighter wraps than the center aisle on restock day.
In other words, the grocery equivalent of closing your eyes and pointing at the shelves.
If you're hoping to score a box, timing matters.
Beginning June 22, shoppers can visit ALDIBlindBox.com at 12 p.m. ET each day through June 25 to claim that day's box while supplies last.
Aldi says boxes are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so don't expect them to linger.
Part of the fun is not knowing which box is dropping next.
Aldi will reveal each day's theme on @aldiusa on Instagram, so shoppers who want the inside scoop before noon will want to keep an eye on the retailer's social feeds.
And if you miss out? The products featured in the boxes won't disappear into mystery-box history. Aldi notes that shoppers can still find featured products and new discoveries in stores nationwide throughout the year.
Still, there's something undeniably appealing about free groceries showing up at your door with a side of surprise.
