Revving Up the Competition: 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee's Special Colors and New Durango Concept
The 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee is making waves in the automotive industry with its special colors...

Merc's performance SUVs have just gotten a whole lot more exciting with the introduction of a future-proofed V8 engine.
Having recently unveiled its all-electric GT 4-Door Coupe, AMG is shifting gears and giving standard Mercedes models a massive V8 boost. That's right - the days of AMGs being whisper quiet are behind us, and we couldn't be more thrilled!
This new development is thanks to the M177 EVO engine, a thoroughly updated version of the old 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8. The updated engine boasts a flat-plane crank, modified intake camshaft, and new fuel-injection system, putting it on par with some of the most impressive power units on the market.
The GLE and GLS SUVs have also gotten a facelift, with new lights, grilles, and bumpers. However, it's the V8 that's the real showstopper here.
"Our V8 is a central component of our performance DNA and the ideal heart for the new GLE 63 S and GLS 63," says AMG boss Michael Schiebe.
The updated engine delivers a whopping 604bhp and 627lb ft of torque in both models. To put that into perspective, that's enough power to get the GLS from 0-62mph in a blistering 4.2 seconds and the GLE in just 3.9 seconds.
Other notable features include mild-hybrid tech with an integrated starter generator and a 48-volt electrical system, which adds an extra 23bhp and provides bonus torque at low revs. Expect to see this engine rolled out across the AMG range in the near future.
Other upgrades include a new valve-controlled exhaust system, air suspension, active roll stabilisation, and all-wheel drive with a locking rear diff. Wheels are up to 22in on the GLE and 23in on the massive GLS.
The interior gets a new AMG spec steering wheel with fancy Nappa leather trim, and the screens are upgraded to run on the latest MB.OS operating system. And yes, the V8 is still the star of the show!
