Astros' Spencer Arrighetti Faces Tough Slump on the Mound

Spencer Arrighetti's latest outing against the Royals was one to forget. Despite fanning seven, he took the loss, allowing four runs on eight hits and a single walk over six innings.

This outing marked one of Arrighetti's toughest of the season. His four runs allowed matched his season high, and the eight hits surrendered was a season worst.

The Astros pitcher has now yielded three or more runs in three consecutive starts, which is a stark contrast to his early success. Arrighetti's underlying metrics remain strong, with a 29.5% hard-hit rate allowed and a 2.57 ERA.

Looking ahead, Arrighetti is scheduled to face the Cleveland Guardians in his next start.
