It's been a wild ride in the Big Brother house lately, with houseguests making bold moves left and right. As the show's host, Julie Chen Moonves, is always kept in the know, but even she was surprised by the recent alliance shift. 'I have to say, I was a little shocked when I saw the houseguests make the move against Red Corner,' Chen Moonves told us. 'But at the same time, it's Big Brother, and anything can happen at any moment.'
For those who may not be keeping up with the latest season, Red Corner is one of the two main alliances in the house, with the other being Blue Corner. The dynamics between the two groups have been tense for weeks, with each side trying to outmaneuver the other for power. And last week, it all came to a head when several members of Red Corner decided to throw their allegiance behind Blue Corner instead. 'It's always fascinating to see how the houseguests will react when things don't go their way,' Chen Moonves said. 'And in this case, it was really interesting to see how Red Corner would respond after being blindsided.'
Chen Moonves has been hosting Big Brother for over 15 years now, and she's seen her fair share of twists and turns. But even after all this time, she still can't help but get caught up in the drama. 'As the host, I try to remain neutral, but it's hard not to get invested in what's happening in the house,' she laughed. 'Especially when you see houseguests making moves that are just so unexpected.'
Of course, as the houseguests continue to try and outwit and outplay each other, only one can be crowned the winner of Big Brother. And while Chen Moonves wouldn't reveal too much, she did hint that the end game is going to be particularly exciting. 'Let's just say that the houseguests are in for a wild ride, and it's going to be a tough competition to the very end,' she teased. 'I think our fans are really going to enjoy seeing how it all plays out.'
Ultimately, the move against Red Corner is a classic example of how Big Brother can quickly become a game of survival. 'When the houseguests are in a tight spot, they have to think on their feet and make split second decisions,' Chen Moonves explained. 'And that's exactly what happened last week, when several members of Red Corner suddenly switched sides. 'It was a huge move, and I think it's going to have a lasting impact on the rest of the game,' Chen Moonves predicted. 'We're going to see some really interesting dynamics at play in the coming weeks.'
In the end, Chen Moonves credits the houseguests for making this season of Big Brother so compelling. 'They're the ones doing all the hard work, coming up with clever twists and making bold moves,' she said with admiration. 'And as the host, it's my job to just facilitate that and bring it all to our audience.' With a renewed sense of energy, Chen Moonves hinted that the house is in for a thrilling season ahead. 'Our fans are going to love it – trust me!'
