Charles Leclerc Receives 20-Second Penalty, Drops to 8th Place

Charles Leclerc, a Ferrari driver, was hit with a 20-second penalty after being found guilty of dangerous driving during the Formula 1 Grand Prix Miami, which took place at the Miami Autodromo on Sunday.

The penalty resulted in Leclerc dropping from 6th to 8th place in the race.

According to Formula 1, Leclerc informed them that his car was safe but not reliable enough to enter a certain turn.

Leclerc then took an early exit from the track to address the issue, but the move was deemed unacceptable as it posed a risk to other drivers and gave him an unfair advantage.

In an investigation, it was found that Leclerc's actions were not justified, and he was therefore handed a drive-through penalty.

This was not the only issue Leclerc faced during the race, as he lost control of his car when entering the third turn on the final lap and ended up crashing into the barrier.

Additionally, Leclerc was found guilty of making contact with Mercedes driver George Russell, although the incident was deemed to be a minor maneuver.
