The Independence of the US Department of Justice: Todd Blanche's Uncertain Pledge
The Importance of an Independent US Department of Justice: Understanding Todd Blanche's Remarks

Istanbul, Iran - According to the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Iran and Oman have agreed to jointly manage the strategic Hormuz Strait under international law. This announcement comes as a response to concerns regarding the security of the international shipping route.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abbas Araghchi, stated that Iran and Oman have made a concerted effort to coordinate and make collective decisions regarding the regulation of Hormuz Strait due to their shared geographical location. Araghchi emphasized that Iran will engage in exchange of views with other countries in the Gulf region regarding developments related to Hormuz Strait and that the ultimate decision on the management of the Strait will be made by Iran and Oman.
The main objective of this collaboration is to ensure that the water route remains safe for all ships traveling through the strait in accordance with international law.
Iran's leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has maintained open communication with Araghchi, and Khamenei's instructions have been diligently followed.
Furthermore, the Iranian parliament has indicated plans to 'nationalise' the Hormuz Strait, a move similar to their nationalisation of the oil industry.
Negotiations between Iran and Western nations have been challenging since Iran refused to grant the US permission to inspect ships passing through the Hormuz Strait.
Since Iran closed the Hormuz Strait in response to US-Israeli hostilities, Western powers have imposed a blockade on Iranian ports.
Iran recently announced the full opening of the system that allows ships to request passage through the Strait. According to the system, permission to pass can be requested by all ship owners and captains worldwide.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps has confirmed that 24 ships passed through the strait under their protection in the last 24 hours. The ships were given permits in advance to sail through the water route.
This development brings new hopes for energy commodity delivery, including crude oil, LNG, and liquefied petroleum gas. Global crude oil prices have also seen a slight decrease as prices dropped near $90 a barrel.
