Isack Hadjar has successfully defended his third-place position in the Monaco Grand Prix following an investigation by the stewards. After finishing on the podium for the first time as a Red Bull driver, Hadjar's result was initially questioned due to allegations of a red flag infringement.
It was claimed that Red Bull breached Article B5.14.4.a of the regulations, related to work on the car under a red flag, with the FIA stating that the team, when questioned about the work, stopped and then restored the car to its previous condition without adding any new parts.
However, the investigation found that the team was reported to have attempted to replace the spark plug/coil but did not proceed with the replacement, and the car started the race in the same condition as when it arrived in the pit, resulting in no further action being taken.
Hadjar could have lost his podium due to Alpine's appeal regarding Pierre Gasly's double 5-second penalty for exceeding the speed limit in the pit lane, while Gasly finished the race in third place on the track.
