Tereza Valentova Outlasts Elina Svitolina in an Uplifting Thriller at Cincinnati
Elina Svitolina vs Tereza Valentova · Round 2 · Cincinnati Tennis.com - A nail-biting encounter...

Andy Robertson and Mohamed Salah spoke about the difficulty in keeping their emotions in check on the day they said goodbye to Liverpool.
The duo brought the curtain down on their nine-year legendary stint at the club with a 1-1 draw against Brentford at Anfield on the final day of the 2025-26 Premier League campaign.
They helped The Reds confirm a fifth-place finish and, as a result, qualification for next season's Champions League.
After an emotional post-match presentation in front of the supporters, Robertson and Salah spoke to Sky Sports to offer their reactions.
Robertson: The fans have been amazing. They come and support us every week. Since I've been here for nine years, we've always played in front of a sold-out crowd at Anfield, our away fans are always sold out. Credit to them, they are the heartbeat of the club and if you can give them a little back by winning games and trying to win trophies and then giving them your time, then that's what they do.
About securing a Champions League spot...
Robertson: It was a must. This has been a very disappointing season from how we wanted it to go. But it was clear from before Christmas that it wasn't going to be what we wanted in terms of winning things. It was very important to make sure that we were in the Champions League. We stumbled over the line a bit but I'm glad that Mo and I can leave the club in a position where they'll still be playing on the biggest stage, they'll have the biggest games next season.
About the standards set at the club...
Robertson: When we first came in, it was a dream to win the Champions League or the Premier League. It wasn't an expectation. Now it's an expectation and that's down to us as players who have brought success to this club. Now the expectation is that Liverpool will be at the top end of the league, they'll be fighting for Champions League or trophies and things like that.
About how he's feeling...
Robertson: Emotionally drained. It's been a very tough week. A busy week trying to keep your emotions in check, trying to focus on the game but also making sure you've done everything right in terms of saying goodbye to the people who need to be said goodbye to.
Salah: I've cried a lot — I think more than I have in my entire life! But it's very hard to leave a place like this. I also cried a bit at the training ground. I'm not an emotional person, you don't see that in the media that much. You always see me tough, aggressive but deep down I'm like a baby. It's very complicated.
Salah: This is our message to the players in the dressing room. Look, the club is now fighting for everything. The fans won't accept less than that. They don't care too much about the results as long as you're sweating and you're giving your blood here. They will love you forever.
