Katie Price Returns to Dubai to Reconnect with Husband

Katie Price has revealed that she has returned to Dubai to be with her husband Lee Andrews following his release from prison. The 48-year-old former glamour model had initially claimed that Andrews was "kidnapped" in May, but it later emerged that he was being held in Dubai's Al Awir jail.

Price had traveled to the UAE last week in an effort to secure her husband's release. She discovered that he faced an alleged £140,000 charge to be freed, but the reason behind his detention remains unclear. There were claims that he was being held on suspicion of "espionage", but these were denied by Dubai authorities, who said it was a "private civil matter".

The couple was last together in early May, and since Andrews' arrest, Price has been able to speak with him. Andrews told Price that he had been "bundled into a van" with his hands tied at the Dubai border and taken to a so-called "black site" while attempting to travel to London to be with her.

It was later revealed that he was detained and placed in Al Awir prison. His family reportedly filed a missing persons report with the British embassy but consular staff in Dubai were reportedly unable to find any trace of him.

Andrews' release came last week, with sources claiming that he returned to his rental property shortly afterwards and contacted Price immediately. "Lee is out and back in his rental," a source told The Sun. "He called Katie straight away and she was thrilled."

Price has not contributed towards the reported six-figure fine linked to his release. Despite ongoing scrutiny surrounding Andrews and his legal troubles, Price is understood to be standing by her husband.

"The relationship remains complicated, with the former glamour model said to have questions following Andrews' time in prison," a source said.

"Of course she has heard the discourse surrounding him, and she's not stupid. She knows the optics aren't great if she stays with this man. But as any woman who has been love-bombed knows, it's hard to leave when you're being treated so well," the source added.

"For whatever reason, she still loves him and is hugely physically attracted to him. But make no bones about it: Lee is a conman and a fraud and there must be consequences to his despicable actions. She must leave this man," the insider said.
