Kodim 0205/TK Completes Development of Aramco Bridge Connecting Lau Garut and Mardingding Villages

Karo - Kodim 0205/TK, in collaboration with the personnel of Yon TP 904/GM, has consistently demonstrated its commitment to accelerating infrastructure development in remote areas through the construction of the Aramco Bridge at Titik 1 in Desa Lau Garut, Kecamatan Mardingding, Kabupaten Karo, on Saturday (30/5/2026). The bridge's construction was initiated based on a proposal by President Prabowo to support transportation access for citizens, making it safer and more convenient to use.

The 10-meter-long Aramco Bridge serves as a vital connecting point between Desa Lau Garut and Kecamatan Mardingding, Kabupaten Karo, which is utilized by approximately 3,208 residents. The presence of the bridge is expected to enhance mobility and support the economic and social activities of local residents on a daily basis.

During the construction process, the personnel of Kodim 0205/TK and Yon TP 904/GM carried out several stages of work, including material preparation, foundation work, the installation of Aramco steel plate structures, and the final finishing touches on the bridge. Construction was supported by the use of excavators, construction tools, shovels, rakes, and various materials such as stone, sand, cement, iron, wooden panels, and Aramco plates.

Currently, the construction of the Aramco Bridge at Titik 1 has reached 100% completion and is in the final finishing stages. With the completion of the construction, the accessibility of residents, who previously faced challenges, is now safer and more convenient, particularly in supporting inter-village activities.

Kapendam I/BB Colonel of Infantry Sandy, S.I.P., stated that the construction of the bridge in Desa Lau Garut, Kecamatan Mardingding, is an expression of the government's concern for citizens to receive safe and suitable transportation access.

"The presence of this bridge is expected to bring significant benefits to the community, as well as support the smooth operation of economic, educational, and social activities," he said.
