Lewis Hamilton is gearing up for a historic season in his career in F1.
Hamilton has vowed not to 'hold back' as he enters his second season with Ferrari in F1.
The seven-time world champion was beaten by his teammate, Charles Leclerc, during his debut season with Ferrari, where he failed to secure a podium finish at a Grand Prix for the first time.
However, Hamilton has returned with renewed energy and enthusiasm ahead of the 2026 season, which will be his 20th season in F1.
The 41-year-old British driver has been in a positive mood throughout the preseason testing with Ferrari, which has boosted hopes that Hamilton and Scuderia can challenge for the championship title.
Ahead of the 2026 season, which begins with the Australian Grand Prix this weekend, Hamilton has stated that he is 'still hungry' and remains 'focused on his dreams'.
"Twenty seasons as an F1 driver. Hard to grasp the reality of the number," Hamilton wrote in an Instagram post.
"It all started with a dream. A dream that to some was deemed crazy and would never come to fruition. Yet the dream has never changed, and I've never stopped chasing it," Hamilton said.
"A dream must be matched with action, and, more importantly, faith. Faith that will not waver no matter what obstacles come your way or what you're facing. There will always be people doubting you, people trying to hold you back, but you must never stop fighting," Hamilton wrote.
"Twenty years filled with incredible highs and depths of sadness, and countless mistakes. But those mistakes have made this journey sweeter. You hold the keys to your destiny. Everything you need to succeed is within you. You'll need help along the way, like I have, but that spark, that fire, is within you," Hamilton said.
"I'm forever grateful for the lessons, peaceful moments, chaos, and countless people who helped me chase and achieve my dreams," Hamilton wrote.
"I'm also grateful for those who doubted me and those who tried to bring me down. I'm still here, 20 years later, still standing, still passionate, still focused on my dreams. Don't hold back," Hamilton concluded.
Hamilton is tipped as a strong contender to win his eighth world championship title and break Martin Brundle's record.
"As a Formula 1 fan, we always want Ferrari to perform, don't we?" Brundle said.
"And I'd love to see Lewis succeed," Brundle added.
"He looks happier. He'll be great at utilizing the tools available to him under the new regulations. He must beat Charles Leclerc, his other Ferrari teammate, as Leclerc is also in top form," Brundle said.
"But happy Lewis is always fast, not just at Ferrari. And I must say, Ferrari has been quite innovative during the winter, and they appear to be in a better position than we've seen in recent years," Brundle continued.
"So, I'm sure Lewis will have a better year," Brundle concluded.
