South Korean Boy Group Cortis Surpasses 800 Million Streams on Spotify

Cortis, a South Korean rookie boy group, has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 800 million streams on Spotify.

According to label Big Hit Music, Cortis reached this threshold in the fastest time for a K-pop boy group.

This achievement is all the more impressive given that the group debuted just last year in August.

The group achieved this feat with 13 tracks: five from their first EP 'Color Outside the Lines' and six from their second EP 'Greengreen' as well as 'Mention Me', which is part of the original soundtrack for Sony Pictures animation 'GOAT.'

The group's focus track from their second mini album, 'Redred', remains a driving force behind this success, amassing close to 100 million plays in less than two months.

The single is currently sitting at No. 52 on Billboard's Global 200 and No. 29 on Global excl. US.

'Greengreen' has also spent five weeks on Billboard 200, ranking No. 50 on the chart dated June 20, after entering it at No. 3.
