Sunny Monday in Southeast Michigan - A Pleasant Start to the Week

Hi everyone, I'm Christina Burkhart, Meteorologist at WDIV Local 4.

Monday across Southeast Michigan will be dry with some afternoon clouds, and temperatures will be below average, staying in the lower 70s.

It'll be comfortable with low humidity levels, just like the rest of the Midwest and Northeast.

This evening will be pleasant, with temperatures falling through the 60s as winds turn lighter.

Tonight will be a tad cool, with temperatures dropping into the 50s.

Skies will be partly cloudy overnight, giving way to some sunshine to start Tuesday. Tuesday afternoon showers and thunderstorms will develop, some of which may have gusty winds.

The Storm Prediction Center has placed all of Southeast Michigan under a Marginal Risk for severe weather Tuesday - a level 1 out of 5.

Rain will move out Tuesday night, leading to a drier start to Wednesday. We'll once again have showers and storms move in during the afternoon.

The Storm Prediction Center has issued Marginal (level 1/5) and Slight (level 2/5) Risks for severe weather for the southern-most side of the state Wednesday.

Rain is expected to become widespread Wednesday into Thursday morning and localized flooding will be possible.

We'll dry out Thursday afternoon and stay dry, with more sun, Friday. Afternoon highs will be in the mid to upper 70s for the rest of the week.

Please stay tuned to WDIV Local 4 for updates and make sure to follow us on social media for the latest forecast and breaking news.
