The Best Goalscorer in the World: Erling Haaland Ready for World Cup Debut

Norway's coach, Stæle Solbakken, has expressed confidence in his team, particularly in striker Erling Haaland, who he believes is the world's best goalscorer.

Solbakken stated, 'He's played better and better in training. He's physically fit. I think he has gradually played better and better in training.'

Haaland will play in his first World Cup match at the Boston Stadium, where Diego Maradona's World Cup journey ended in 1994.

Haaland's ability to perform under pressure has been questioned, but his former teammate, Tore André Flo, believes he will continue to excel.

'Every year he's going to a new level,' Flo said. 'He has gone from smaller clubs to bigger and huge clubs. He has continued to do well so it doesn't seem to affect him. I expect he will just keep on going.'

Haaland's World Cup buildup has been peaceful, with activities such as golf with childhood friends in Marbella and watching game five of the Stanley Cup final during Norway's training camp in North Carolina.

In a recent interview, Haaland confidently predicted his country will get through the group stage, which would upstage his father, Alf-Inge Haaland, who was part of the Norwegian team that finished bottom of their group in the 1994 World Cup.
