Wyndham Clark Stirs Up Controversy with Team USA Jersey at RBC Canadian Open

Wyndham Clark ignited a fierce reaction from the host country of the RBC Canadian Open on Saturday by referencing Canada's recent Olympic hockey loss to the United States.

During Saturday's third round at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley, Clark proudly displayed a Team USA Jack Hughes jersey, much to the displeasure of the crowd.

Hughes scored the winning goal in overtime of February's championship game against Canada during the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics, securing Team USA's first men's ice hockey gold medal since 1980.

The Canadian women's ice hockey team also suffered a heartbreaking loss to Team USA in overtime at the Milan Olympics.

Wyndham, a native of Denver, will now look to earn another American victory with a win at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley. He achieved a bogey-free 63 in Saturday's third round, marking his best score of seven career rounds on the course.
