Tracy Morgan Names Jalen Brunson the 'King of New York' After Knicks Victory

Tracy Morgan, a renowned actor and comedian, has hailed Knicks' star Jalen Brunson as the 'King of New York' after their recent NBA Finals victory.

Morgan made the declaration in an exclusive interview with Page Six, where he praised Brunson's incredible performance and the entire team's contribution to their win.

'I can't pick anyone out because everyone had a part in it,' Morgan said. 'The coaching staff, everyone had a part in it, so I won't do that. I won't single anyone out, but Brunson [the team captain] is the King of New York right now. The people have spoken.'

Showing his enthusiasm, Morgan even likened Brunson to a Ghostbuster and sang the iconic theme song:

'There's something strange in your neighborhood. Who you gonna call? Jalen Brunson!'

Morgan confessed that he felt 'incredible' after the win and shed many tears of joy, along with the rest of the team and fans.

'I broke down a lot,' he said. 'I wasn't the only one. Everyone in there was. Fifty-three years [the last time the Knicks won the championship was in 1973], everyone let it all out, everyone felt joyful, they were tears of joy.'

Morgan's excitement isn't just about the team's win but also about the city's collective relief and happiness. 'It means we're over the hump,' he explained. 'The curse is over, and this is the first time in a long time that I've really seen the city happy.'
